The Purpose of the House of Avicenna
The program’s purpose is to promote the maximum cognitive, social, physical, behavioral, and emotional development in each of our patients in the most caring and efficient manner possible. Daily activities may include, but are not limited to: orientation, exercise/stretching, goal setting, medication education, coping skills and problem solving education, disease process education, social interaction, sensory stimulation, self-care instruction, current events, meal planning, leisure skills, relaxation, and inspirational activities. Specific activities for each patient relate to his/her specific needs, interests, and goals.
