Occupational Therapy Services
The Occupational Therapy Department is involved with human lives that have been disrupted by injury, disease, the aging process or developmental problems. The fundamental goal of therapy is to utilize purposeful occupations and/or activities that will restore an individual’s capacity to its fullest potential and to perform the tasks of daily living essential to maintenance of an independent lifestyle.
The Occupational Therapist is nationally registered with the AOTA and holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program. The occupational therapy staff consists of a registered occupational therapist (OTR) and may include a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA).
Occupational Therapy services are available Monday - Friday for outpatient and inpatient care.
Services provided include, but are not limited to occupational therapy for patients in acute stage and subsequent stages of illness to minimize or prevent dysfunction for the following conditions:
