Physical Therapy is a profession which develops, coordinates and utilizes select knowledge and skills in planning, organizing and implementing programs for the care of individuals whose ability to function is impaired or threatened by disease or injury. Physical Therapy’s primary focus is on those individuals with neuro-muscular, skeletal, pulmonary and cardiovascular disorders and evaluating the level of function related to these disorders. This leads to the selection and implementation of appropriate therapeutic procedures to maintain, improve or restore these functions.
